November 11th and 12th at 160 Delaware Ave, Buffalo, NY 14202

This fall, New Era will open its doors to developers, coders and designers to participate in its inaugural New Era Hackathon. We’re inviting teams of 1-4 people to work 24 hours to solve up to 3 challenges for the New Era brand. If selected, teams will develop web-based and mobile solutions that help the brand improve engagement with its consumers. Prizes will be awarded to the top five teams (or individuals).

Lorenz Gan

Lorenz joined New Era as the Vice President of IT in April of this year. He was most recently from Burberry Group LTD where he led all IT programs and initiatives for the Americas. In this role, Lorenz was located in NYC. Lorenz’ experience also includes work at Australia’s largest telecommunications carrier and time working in England with Adecco Group. Born in Australia and having worked in several countries gives Lorenz a broad range of international experiences.

Mark Maidment

In May 2016, Mark began his new role as Vice President of Creative at New Era. He’s responsible for delivering strategic direction on the brand’s product design, merchandising and marketing for North America. Mark plays a lead role in leveraging and protecting the equity of the New Era brand. The journey that brought him to Buffalo is an unconventional one as his career has been rooted in his obsession with brands. Mark has worked for some of the most respected fashion brands in the world including DIESEL, REACTOR PLUS and Ben Sherman, to name a few.

Rohan Shah

Rohan is the founder and CEO of interactiveX, Inc, interactiveX is an Education Technology company based out of Buffalo, NY. Rohan graduated from University at Buffalo, majoring in Computer Science and Business. Rohan has been an active participant and an enthusiast for Hackathons and have won multiple of them during his academic years. Apart from his entrepreneur life, Rohan also serves in the US Army Reserves.

Anna Stolzenburg

A native of East Amherst, NY, Anna Stolzenburg is a graduate of Syracuse University, with a B.A. in broadcast & digital journalism and political science. After stints at the Today Show, the Office of Senator Chuck Schumer and WGRZ-TV, Stolzenburg began her now five-year career with the Buffalo Bills as a Digital Media Coordinator, assisting with content creation and site maintenance on buffalobills.com. She is in the middle of her second NFL season in her current role as Social Media Editor at Pegula Sports and Entertainment, working as the lead on all Buffalo Bills social media properties in addition to assisting the many properties under the Pegula umbrella such as the Buffalo Sabres and One Buffalo.
